Donald R. Sloan

A Celebration of Life for Don Sloan, 85, of Enid will be announced at a later date. He was born in a log cabin February 23,
1932 near Hennessey, Oklahoma the son of Louis and Doris Lee Sloan and passed away March 7, 2017.

He was a graduate of Enid High School in 1952 where he participated in football and track. Don was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Edith Hirst November 12, 1954 in Enid.

Don was employed by the Enid Board of Trade as a Lab Technician until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Don will be remembered for all of his funny story’s.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Edith, two grandchildren, Michael Crawford and Audra Luncford, seven great-
grandchildren, two brothers, Jerry Sloan and his wife Janice of Edmond, Oklahoma and Terry Sloan and wife Julie of
Meno, Oklahoma, two sisters, Judy Sellers of Enid and Cindy Mootz of Enid. He was preceded in death by a daughter,
Detra Edwards and three sisters.
