Funeral services for Don L. Culver, 80, Enid, will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Covenant of Life Christian Fellowship Church (501 S.Cleveland Enid, Oklahoma) with Reverend Les Washnock officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with family present will be Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stittsworths.

Don was born on September 12, 1937 in El Reno, Oklahoma, the son of Jessie Ross and Juanita Fern Haywood Culver, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his daughter’s residence. He was raised and educated in El Reno, Oklahoma, graduating from El Reno High School with the class of 1955. Don started his railroad career with the Rock Island Railroad, then Frisco Railroad, retiring from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in 1997.

He married Dianne Marie Burns in Enid on April 1, 1966. Don was a member of the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Dee of the residence; children, Dawn Reed and her spouse Eddie Rawson of Enid, Oklahoma, Dusti and husband, Rev. Les Washnock of Pond Creek, Oklahoma, Daye Culver of Enid. Grandchildren, Presley and wife Migon Reed of Enid, Oklahoma, Cody and wife Jamai Reed of Enid, Oklahoma, Oklahoma Shelby and husband Charles Prado of Enid, Oklahoma Brooke Rawson of Mustang, Oklahoma Tanner and wife Faith Culver of Enid, Oklahoma Brandon and wife Emily Washnock of Stephenville, Texas, Kyli and Megan Washnock of Crowley, Texas, Braylee and JoDee Culver of Enid, Oklahoma. Ten Great-grandchildren. Brother, Steve and wife Rosa Culver of El Reno, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Mary Culver of El Reno, Oklahoma, sister-in-law, Mary Culver of El Reno, Oklahoma, numerous nieces, nephews, and a train-load of friends. Don was preceded in passing by his parents, two brothers, Joe and Carl, one sister Ann, mother-in-law, Dorothy Burns, two brother-in-law’s Rich Burns and Jerry Burns.

The family has selected First Baptist Church of Pond Creek or Hospice, Circle of Love, as appropriate for memorial donations.
