Don H. Bleakley

September 27, 1941 - April 6, 2024

Don Bleakley, 82, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away on April 6, 2024. He was born on September 27, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Don, a retired railroad engineer, leaves behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Eloise Bleakley, his sons Darren Bleakley (Natalie), Steve Bleakley (Nadia), and his grandchildren Jared Bleakley (Cali), Alex Bleakley, Ethan Bleakley (Hayley), and Edie Bleakley. He is also survived by his great-grandson Cooper Bleakley, and bonus family members Mayra Lawson (Luke), Livia Snoddy (Aaron), Clara Snoddy, and Luca Snoddy, brother-in-law John Harvey, nieces Terri Schloss, Trisha Ziegler and Jenni Connor and their spouses.

He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Bleakley, mother Bessie Haskins Bleakley, brother Ronald Bleakley, and sister Linda Bleakley Harvey.

Don attended Emerson Junior High and Central College. Outside of his successful career, he found joy in motorcycling, woodwork, target shooting, travel and music.

The Anderson Burris Funeral Home in Enid, Oklahoma, is assisting the family during this difficult time though there will be no service. A celebration of life is being planned for a later time.

Don Bleakley will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the love and laughter he shared with those around him.
