Mass of Christian Burial for Desdive “Desi” Ann Milacek, 81 of Enid, will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.
Desi was born October 21, 1939 in Waukomis to William A and Beatrice (Jankey) Milacek and passed away on January 1, 2021 in Enid.
Desi graduated from Pioneer High School and attended Enid Business College. She worked for Champlin Petroleum, Henry Gungoll and Associates, Steven Jones, and the Covington Livestock for many years before her retirement. Desi was an active member of Desk & Derrick, the Republican Woman where she was on the board, Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Womens for 30 years where she was on the board of directors the entire time. She also was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was an active member of the Catholic Alter Society, helping with the Girl Scouts at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. Desi met Gary Johnson, the love of her life 50 years ago. They worked and farmed together – she enjoyed going to check the cattle with Gary.
Desi is survived by her love for over 50 years Gary Johnson; one daughter Vanessa Fuksa and husband Shawn; 2 granddaughters Hannah Fuksa and Mandi Fuksa; and one great grandson Dallas Fuksa; sister-in-law Linda Milacek; nieces Stephanie Kilmer and husband Bill, Meredith Solorio and husband Diego, Bethanie Williams and husband Jeffrey; one nephew Daniel (Boonie) Milacek and wife Kara; and several great nieces and nephew.
Desi is preceded in death by her parents, brothers William E. (Billy Gene) Milacek, Daniel A. (Danny) Milacek, and Edwin M. (Eddie) Milacek.
