Dennis passed away at his home with family at his bedside. He was born to Charles Euil McFadden and Winifred Bernice Jordan McFadden in Enid Oklahoma.

He was one of 5 children. He attended Enid Public Schools as a child and graduated from Enid High School in 1949. Dennis married his high school sweet heart, LaDora Hoover on May 20th, 1950 in Enid. They would have celebrated 68 years of marriage a few weeks short of his passing. Dennis was blessed with 6 children that came of that union. Dennis worked with his father as an apprentice watch maker until he joined the U.S. Army. he was proud to have fought and served his county along side his fellow soldiers in the 45th Infantry in Korea from 1951 -1952. After his time in the service, Dennis continued to do watch making and repair until his career path lead him to serve the people of Enid as a member of the Enid Police Department. He proudly served his community for 20 years retiring with the rank of Captain. he was a continued to be well known and respected by his fellow officers long after his retirement.

During his law enforcement years he saved lives and helped to positively change lives of those on both sides of the law. His path began a 3 generation journey into law enforcement as his son followed in his footsteps. And currently two grandsons continue to serve on the Enid Police Department. Dennis became a business owner and operator of Lytle's Pawn shop in downtown Enid several years after his retirement. Dennis enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with his wife, LaDora. Two of his favorite sites to visit included South Padre Island, Texas where he enjoyed fishing and beach combing. And, he also loved the Colorado Rockies where he hiked, mountain climbed , and of which learned the history and culture. He loved and total enjoyed his pets. He supported the SPCA throughout his life. His hobbies included arrow head hunting and collection, gardening, and reading. He often dabbled with new activities that he had read, studied or learned about. He found interest in many different things. And, was a great handyman.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Charles Donald McFadden and Patrick Michael McFadden.

He is survived today by his wife, LaDora of the home, daughter Dennise Lawson of Gainesville, MO., son Danny McFadden of Enid, daughter Spring Hendrix of Detrich, Idaho, daughter Patricia Wright of Gainesville, MO., daughter Carol Roberts of Lamy, New Mexico, and daughter Mary Trammell of the home. He is also survived by two sisters Nancy Koenig of Enid and Kathy Whenry of La Vista, Nebraska. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

No service will be planned per Dennis and his family's wishes. he will always be dearly missed and loved. Remembrances can be made in his honor through donations to the Enid SPCA, St. Jude's Hospital, or Circle of Love Hospice of Enid.
