Celebration of Life service for Debra Coulter, 63 of Aline, will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022, in the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Len Coulter officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery Southeast of Helena under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Debra was born January 5, 1959, in Enid to Donald Ekern and Carolyn Hess and when she was two, she was adopted by Wilbur Johnson. She passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She attended Enid High School and earned her associate nursing degree from NOC and later earned a bachelor’s degree at OCU. She worked in various areas of healthcare including radiology, respiratory, and was a transcriber. She worked at St. Mary’s for many years and most recently loved her job at Okeene Hospital. Debra helped many people with weight loss in her own clinic for several years.
Debra married Myron Coulter on April 1, 1977 in Enid.
Debra enjoyed spending time with family and friends at home, the lake, and ski trips. She also loved riding the motorcycle with Myron and friends. She loved her family so much and even through her most difficult days, she always had a smile on her face.
In addition to her husband Myron, she is survived by her children, Brian Coulter, Lindsay Garinger and husband Matt, and Lacey Williams and husband Greg, six grandchildren Kelsey, Keegan, Kasen, Kaylee, Bryson and Brynli. Her dog Sophie, who stayed by her side when she didn’t feel well. Brothers Ricky and Duane Ekern of Savannah, Georgia and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn Johnson, father Donald Ekern, step-father Wilbur Johnson and brother David Johnson.
