Dale was born on July 16, 1933, in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Lewis and Dortha Epperley Leslie and died January 10, 2022 in Enid, with his family by his side.
He grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School. On August 4, 1951, Dale married the love of his life, Jackie Tacket in Newkirk, Oklahoma. They made their home in Blackwell until retiring to Enid in 1987. Dale was a 1951 State Champion Wrestler. Dale was a mail carrier in Blackwell for many years, before retiring. He was a farmer, raising cattle, wheat and alfalfa. He loved fishing, hunting and camping. Dale enjoyed making items out of stain glass, playing cards, and gardening. He put together a 6000 piece Taj Mahal lego set and made other items from legos. Dale enjoyed watching OU and OSU football, especially with his son.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; parents; siblings, Lenora Terell, Clyde Leslie, Lee Leslie, Lloyd Leslie, Delores Miller, Harmon Leslie.
Dale is survived by his children and their spouses: Ken and Teri Leslie of Rochester, MN and Vickie and Charlie Stuever of Enid; grandchildren, Jade Powell, Jason (Jill) Stuever, Jessica (Matt) Edgerton, Justin (Melissa) Eide; great grandchildren, Maeli Powell, Logan and Henry Stuever, Carson and Connor Eide, Ava and Ali Edgerton; other relatives.
