August 14, 1970 - June 30, 2024
The visitation with family for Cory L. Lawson, 53 year-old Enid resident is from 1PM-3PM Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
Cory was born August 14, 1970 to Ralph and Lila(Merritt) Lawson in Enid and died June 30, 2024 in Oklahoma City. Cory attended local schools. He worked at various companies in Enid, including the Enid News and Eagle, Ryder Truck, and Wal-Mart. Mostly was a caretaker for his entire family. He was a kind and caring man who's heart was as big as stature. He never missed an opportunity to help someone in need and would do anything you asked of him no matter how big or small.
When he wasn't teasing his father unmercifully, he was going fishing with him and taking care of him. Cory's capacity for love was unending and everyone who came in contact with him received that love tenfold. Cory will be greatly missed as he was taken to soon.
He is survived by his long-time companion Yvonne Young of Enid, his sister Kellie Pitts and husband David of Seminole and his brother Chris Lawson of Enid. Two nieces Kelsie Pitts and Kiersten McCormick and husband Aaron, all of Seminole. One great niece Lila and one great nephew Levi, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle Bobby and aunt Ethel.
Obituaries are posted, in part, due to the generosity of The Commons.
