The home going services celebrating the life of Corey Phillip Holt, 39, will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday March 15, 2017 in the First Missionary Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow. Services are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, of Oklahoma City. An open visitation will be held Tuesday March 14, 2017 in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home, of Enid.
Cory was born May 15, 1977, to Phyllis Holt and Kenneth Harrison in Enid, OK.
Following in the footsteps of many of his uncles, Corey played basketball and football at Enid High School. While playing football, Corey managed to tie the school record with nine interceptions in his senior year. Corey graduated from Enid High School in 1996.
During the summers, Corey worked in Memphis at the MJ Edwards Funeral Home. However, his passion was to become a truck driver. In 2003, he began his career driving trucks working for various trucking companies including Sunoco and Freymiller.
Corey married Sharon Wyckoff in 2000 and to this union Corey Phillip Holt Jr was born on August 27, 2002. Corey and his son had an unbreakable bond. They enjoyed playing video games and purchasing Nike tennis shoes.
Corey was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Carlos D. Holt and Earl Harrison Sr.; his paternal grandmother Gertrude Harrison; uncles John and Dale Holt; cousins: Aaron Holt, Timothy and Marcus Littlejohn.
Corey Holt Jr (Bowser, MD): his mother Phyllis Holt (OKC); his father Kenneth (Joyce) Harrison (OKC); 3 sisters: LaTania Holt (Houston, TX); Tracey Brown (OKC) and Kenisha Harrison (Dallas, TX); his girlfriend Jennifer Hyer (Abilene, TX) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends are left to cherish his memory due to his passion of truck driving.
