Northern Oklahoma College Enid will host a Community Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. The event is free and open to the public, and will be held in in Montgomery Hall located in the Gantz Student Center on the NOC Enid Campus, 100 S. University.
NOC President Dr. Cheryl Evans said, “We are proud to host the Community Resource Fair again this year. This event brings together so many helpful organizations and agencies under one roof. I think it helps raise the public’s awareness of the social resources available within our community.
"There are so many wonderful and free services available to the community, yet unfortunately a lot of these resources are underutilized because many people are not aware of them. I think the Community Resource Fair is a fun way for our community to become more involved with these local organizations. I would encourage everyone to share these resources with their family and friends," Evans said.
“It is our deepest desire, to assist the citizens within our service area overcome the various barriers in front of them, and to reach their full potential,” said Jill Helmer, NOC counselor.
“At the core of the community college mission is an increased opportunity for educational enhancement as well as providing the resources to individuals that help drive the local economy. We are expecting around 20 local and state non-profit agencies to be represented at the Community Resource Fair,” Helmer said.
