CHILL OUT: The 7th annual Warren Edds Civitan Chiller Challenge 5K/Polar Plunge to benefit the Vance Special Olympics Track and Field Event and to provide scholarships for Special Olympic Athletes is this weekend!
The race will be held at Crosslin Park on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Registration begins at 8:00 am with hot breakfast foods provided by the Yes We Can Civitan Club and AdvancePierre Foods.
Wear your best costumes! Costume judging is at 9am and the plunge into the water will be around 9:15am. State Rep. Mike Jackson will be there to help judge the costume contest.
AdvancePierre Foods Exec, Eric Brunken and City Commissioner, Tammy Wilson, are both taking a $1,000 challenge to run into the icy waters of Crosslin Park.
Registration and breakfast will be located at Awaken the Fire Church, 3320 N. Van Buren.
