April 8, 1930 - April 14, 2021
My name is Christy Beyl. I’ve lived a very long and good life. I was born in April of 1930 and I’m not dead yet. I have Alzheimer’s so I don’t really remember how many kids I have but I think I have a lot. I have even more grand kids and great grand kids. Maybe even great-great grandkids. I may not remember that, but I know I was loved. Karl, Renee, Aaron, Tyler, Megan, and Hannah took care of me and loved me every day. I am safe with them and I love them. Find your happy every day. And if you can’t find it, try smiling, laughing, and singing. If that doesn’t work, then be kind to someone. Helping someone find their happy will help you find yours. I love my family.
My mom wrote this obituary after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2009. She moved in with my family in 2010 and lived with us until 2016. She wanted to document it all so we would remember. She was a wonderful woman and she wanted to keep things simple. I will honor her wishes. Mom was born on April 8, 1930 and took her final breath on April 14, 2021. I would like to add that we were blessed to have an amazing extended family when she moved to Rogers Home at the Homes of Greenbrier. They were all her kids and she loved them with all that she had. We are grateful for the unconditional love and compassion that they showered her with. We also want to thank Elara Caring for sending the most amazing nurse our way as she continued her life journey home. We could not have made it all these years without the love and support of all our friends and family that have traveled this journey with us. You let us be a part of your lives and because of that you became a part of ours. We are grateful that Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service continued to honor her wishes by keeping it simple and taking care of us. We will be taking her on her final ride home to Montana in May to celebrate her with all her family.
If you would like to do something in Christy’s memory, please consider sending donations to Homes of Greenbrier-Rogers Home, Elara Caring or go online to alz.org and donate.
