ENID, Okla. - Everyone is curious as to what is going in south of the Neighborhood Walmart. Signs are going up on the retail center and indicate there will be a Dandy's Donuts, Deli & Delights (open 24 hours), Rose Rock Orthodontics, T & C Meats and Supercuts. Other businesses have not yet been announced. There is also a location for a restaurant on the very corner of Chestnut and Cleveland.

The retail area includes the Walmart gas station with more options for retail space as the current spaces are filled. The plans show at least four more retail strips behind Walmart. All of the commercial area will have a Texas Hill Country exterior appearance.

Stonebridge Village is being developed by AC Developments, LLC., who purchased the 80 acre site in 2012. The Gau family owned the property since the 1960’s and made it their home with a large ranch-style house and grassy meadows for horses. The home had to be demolished to make way for the new development.

The concept for Stonebridge Village is a combination of commercial, single family homes and the upscale multi-family Esplanade apartments with a lake set in the middle. It's an area where people can LIVE-WORK-PLAY. Plans for the lake include a walking trail and landscaping in a park-like setting. People from all three areas of the Village will have access to the recreational space.

The residential area to the west that backs up to The Village will have 71 homes. The lots will be minimum 10,000 sq. ft. and will have protective covenants including minimum 1,800 sq. ft. homes. There is also a large water retention area to the north of the development to prevent any flooding issues.

The City of Enid has approved plans to enlarge and improve the intersection at Cleveland & Chestnut. The City is also planning to improve Cleveland to 4-lanes from the intersection to the railroad track with a boulevard. Power lines have already been moved to make room for the wider street. The road coming from Rolling Oaks has already been improved with access to Cleveland being moved south, further from the railroad tracks.

Stonebridge East will become a 55 acre development at the northeast corner of Cleveland and Chestnut. This area is located behind Holdings which sits on the corner.

The development will feature a combination of commercial land opportunity and single family residential homes. The single family residential area will feature homes from 1200 square feet and up. There will be areas also to build larger homes.
