ENID, OK - The Enid Public Library is once again launching its annual Chase the Chill initiative to help keep residents warm this winter. This community-driven program provides warm-weather clothing to anyone in need, with no questions asked.
Starting now through the end of winter, all donated items will be available for free on a clothesline located on the west side of the library.
“The initiative is to keep Enid residents warm this winter,” said Chloe Wallace, Library Specialist and event organizer. “Chase the Chill is a great way to give back to those who may not have the means to buy winter gear this season."
The library is accepting donations of new or handmade winter items, including hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, and socks. Donors are asked to bring their donations to the first-floor donation bin. All donations will be hung on the clothesline, providing warmth to anyone who may need it.
“The library is proud to have been a part of this community project for eight years and counting," said Theri Ray, Library Director at the Enid Public Library.
