Mass of Christian Burial for Charlie Williams, 82, of Enid, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, May 22, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev Joseph Irwin as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00 PM, Sunday evening, May 21, 2017 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Charlie was born August 28, 1934, in Enid, to Ray E. and Edna Pauline (Ruth) Williams, and passed away on Tuesday evening, May 16, 2017 at his home in Enid.
Charlie grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School. On October 22, 1955 he married Cynthia Ojanna Sidwell in Pond Creek, and they made their home in Enid. He was a co-owner and realtor at Williams Real Estate and later was a Deputy at Garfield County Sheriff Department for over 50 years. Charlie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He loved to show Shetland ponies, and enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
Charlie is survived by his wife Cynthia; 5 children Justin Williams (Ramona) of Ft. Myers, Florida, Joanna Hau (Tom) of Hennessey, Austin Williams (Deb) of Wichita, Kansas, Aaron Williams (Connie) of Okeene, and Tracie Stump (Bob) of Crook, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sister Marilyn Odgen of Enid.
