ENID, OK – Champlin Swimming Pool is a 500,000 gallon Olympic size swimming pool. It was built in 1956 and has served as a recreational hub for Enid's youth since that time. Champlin Pool is affordable recreation for families that are unable to travel to other facilities out side of Enid.

When the pool was first built they had tables and umbrellas on the roof of the bath house. There's a color postcard version of this photo below. Notice in the postcard how the cars in the alley were removed.

The high dive at Champlin Pool! One of the few fears that I conquered as a kid. Only did it once!
Was the pool segregated when it first opened?
What year did they rebuild the bathhouse and why? Does someone in the Enid area.
