ENID, Okla. - The Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce handed out its 2016 awards at their annual meeting and banquet Thursday night in the Grand Ballroom at Central National Bank Center.

The 2016 Citizen of the Year award went to Ernie Currier. Currier is employed at Security National Bank and is a former Enid Mayor.

Kyle Hockmeyer was chosen as the chamber’s 2016 Ambassador of the Year. Hockmeyer is the business and industry coordinator at Autry Technology Center.

Joe Forbes took home Volunteer of the Year for 2016. Forbes volunteers for events like the Cherokee Strip Days Celebration, Northwest District Junior Livestock Show and Enlisted Appreciation Night.

Leonardo’s Children Museum was picked as the 2016 Civic Improvement Award winner. Leonardo’s completed renovations to the interior and exterior of their building.

John Berg was selected Business Person of the Year. Berg is president and CEO of The Triangle Companies.
