ALVA, Okla. — Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni, Chad Moore and his wife, Kimberly, established the Chad and Kimberly Moore Accounting Lectureship for Academic Enrichment. This lectureship will support the Division of Business by enhancing the quality offerings for students of Northwestern through faculty development, training and education, and will increase the educational opportunities available at Northwestern.

“Chad Moore is another in a long line of accounting graduates from Northwestern who have achieved great professional success,” said Dr. Janet Cunningham, university president. “We are appreciative of his and Kimberly’s desire to give back to Northwestern through this scholarship.”

Chad, a native of Enid, Okla., and Kimberly, a Woodward (Okla.) native, graduated from Northwestern; Chad in 2001 with a degree in accounting, and Kimberly in 2000 with a degree in health and physical education with a minor in business administration. The two met in
speech class their freshman year at Northwestern. While attending Northwestern, Chad played football as a freshman. Kimberly played basketball throughout her collegiate career making it to the NAIA national

tournament multiple times. The two currently reside in Edmond, Okla., with their son, AJ, and daughter, Ragan.

Following the suggestion of a Northwestern professor, Chad pursued an internship with BKD, LLP, a national CPA and advisory firm. After
his internship, Chad was asked to join the firm following graduation
and, in 2013, he became its youngest partner. Chad received the 2014 Northwestern Outstanding Graduate honor in the Business/Professional category.

Chad and Kimberly have fond memories during their time at Northwestern, including the friends they made while obtaining a “quality education in a close-knit environment with people who are passionate about the students and their success.” Because of that quality education, Chad and Kimberly recognize the opportunities Northwestern has provided for their future, inspiring them to give back.

“Getting my accounting degree and becoming a CPA has opened
a lot of doors and a lot of opportunities for Kim and me,” Chad said. “I want people to realize that no matter the size of school you attend, it’s all about the quality of education that you receive and the effort that you put into that education. Even a person from a small school in Alva, Oklahoma, can become a partner of a top 10 CPA firm.”

This accounting lectureship was created to provide a competitive edge for Northwestern in the accounting industry, so it can be at the forefront in offering a quality education to future generations.

“Accounting is a fast growing and complex industry,” Chad said. “There many opportunities for people who want to grow and become business professionals in the community that they live.”
