CDSA's Welcome Home Project

ENID, OK - On November 8th, the CDSA Welcome Home Project had their ground breaking ceremony in Enid, OK. Army Sgt. LeRoy Watkins was deployed three separate times and injured during an IED explosion and medically retired after 15 years of honorable service. He and his family were gifted a mortgage free constructed home with the generosity of local businesses and organizations coming together to build the first of many veteran homes in Enid.
-
Earlier this year, CDSA contacted the Wounded Veterans of Oklahoma in search of combat disabled veterans to apply for a mortgage free home. A committee selected the recipient this past spring out of all eligible applicants.
-
The CDSA Welcome Home Project works to provide a newly constructed home that meets the physical needs of a Combat Veteran with disabilities at no cost to the veteran.
