Carolyn Fay Henry (Dearing)

April 7, 1947 - May 4, 2022

Carolyn Fay Henry was born on April 7, 1947 in Enid, OK to Ernest and Thelma Dearing. Her passing was May 4, 2022 peacefully at home. She was 1 of 6 children. Brothers, Kenny & Darrel and sisters, Donna, Wanda & Kay. She attended Pioneer Schools. She married Frank Henry on 4-17-65 in Enid, OK. While in Enid she worked as a nurse and dietary aide at St. Mary’s. In 1981 they moved to Jefferson, OK raising 3 children on an acreage with cows, chickens, guineas swine and chinchillas. In December 1999 She and Frank built their home with the help of their dear friends Deb and Ron Mootz on an acreage east of Kremlin. Her love for animals took her to Pond Creek Vet Clinic where she was a vet assistant and that is where she retired.

A true Matriarch! Loved and respected by her whole family. Her hobbies included being a master gardener, the boss of Frank, prospecting for gold, camping and fishing, hunting, spending time with family at the lake and she loved her animals. There wasn’t a bird or rabbit that went hungry as long as Carolyn was around.

Survived by her husband, that she cherished of 57 years, Frank. Sons, Mark Henry & wife Angi, John Henry & wife Kim and her best friend and only daughter, Sandy Gordon and husband Mike. Grandchildren, James, Andy, Josh & Gaige Henry, Chelsea Carpenter, Amber Green, Ryan Henry, Kimberly Castanon, Jadyn House, Kamree Henry, Brandon Gordon, Karston Gordon, Sarah Gordon, several great grand children and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by grandson Josh Gordon. To know her was to love her and she will be missed greatly.
