Funeral service to celebrate the life of Carobelle Marie Janssen Carson will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Garber Gym, with Rev. Travis Orr, and Rev. Tim Dorsch officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Carobelle was born to Herbert Harmon and Edna Anna Bertha (Helberg) Janssen, on December 30, 1937 in Enid, and passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017, at her home in Garber.

Carobelle graduated from Garber High School and attended Oklahoma State University. She was the city clerk for Garber and Fairmont. Carobelle was a member of the Lutheran Church, where she was active. She was a member of the Lions Club, and was the first female District Governor of Lion’s Clubs International in Oklahoma. Carobelle was a treasurer of numerous organizations.

Carobelle is survived by her sons Jerry Carson(Dee), of Garber, and Chuck Carson (Helene) of Yukon; 3 grandchildren Gabe, Josh, and Nick Carson; 5 great grandchildren; 4 brothers Ivan Janssen of Texas, Arlo Janssen of Florida, Larry Janssen of New Mexico, and Audrey Janssen of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Trey, grandson Matt, and sister Ivona.
