The new Mexican restaurant "El Hormiguero" is now open. They are located at 1927 S. Van Buren where the old Abuela's Mexican Restaurant (Sage Room) was.

OPENING HR OFFICES:

Kellogg Brown & Root is the company going in at Varsity Square. KBR is hiring around 1200 people for the expansion of the Koch Plant. The space at Varsity will be their HR offices. www.kbr.com/about/history

A new reception hall and chapel are being built at 81 Ranch on N. 81 Highway. The venue looks to be open later this year.

DEMOLITION:

The old Allen Oil Shell station on N. Van Buren is being demolished. Reports are that it will be replaced with a One Stop convenience store.

IN DEFAULT:

The city of Enid has notified Lodgewell that they are in default of their contract in building the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Enid. The city has given the group 45 days to get funding and break ground. City officials have indicated that Lodgewell will not be able to meet the deadline and they are already looking at alternatives.

New Harvest church is building south of Lowes while another hotel is going up next to Lowes.
There is a retirement complex going up near the fire station on N. Garland.
There is also a new parts store on N. Van Buren out by the curve.

Announces Management Promotions (Posted January 20, 2015)
ENID – Central National Bank & Trust Co. has announced a series of promotions. R.S. Brud Baker, who has been previously served as president and CEO, was promoted to chairman of the board and CEO. Kip Herburger, who has been with the bank for five years as executive vice president, East Region, is now president and chief operating officer. Scott Shryock, senior vice president and chief financial officer, was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. John Duffy, vice president of the Heavy Equipment Division, was promoted to senior vice president, Heavy Equipment Division. Lori Coleman, who has been serving as vice president, senior loan coordinator, East Region, was promoted to vice president, retail and loan administration manager, East Region. Wayne Aholt, vice president, human resources, was promoted to senior vice president, human resources. Diana Karbs was promoted from vice president to senior vice president, credit administration manager.
