Mike Brown, owner of Jack's Power Outdoors, located at the corner of Rt 81 (VanBuren) and Poplar in Enid, has purchased all of the fixtures and remaining inventory of Strings 'n' Things! He is going to add a garden center to his location and carry most of what they did. Better yet, he has asked Juanita to be the buyer! This means that most of the adorable items you loved for gifts and yourself will probably still be available. Congrats to both businesses!!

REMEMBER THE PADDLE BOATS? (Posted November 20, 2013)
The Enid City Commission unanimously passed an ordinance that could allow for the return of paddle boats! Non-motorized vessels will soon be allowed on several local waterways including Meadowlake and Government Springs. This includes paddle boats, canoes, row boats and kayaks.

HOLIDAY STORE NOW OPEN: (Posted October 30, 2013)
Joe’s Clothes, an outgrowth of the Eskimo Joe’s restaurant and clothing stores in Stillwater, has opened its annual holiday Oakwood Mall store today. Mall hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm. The new location is in the center court of the mall. The temporary store will offer items sold in the Stillwater store, including T-shirts, sweat shirts, jackets and night shirts. They will also be selling their fun holiday design pictured above and below.

The management of Enid’s CiCi’s Pizza sent out an email informing residents and employees that the store has closed its doors effective immediately. Patrons reported seeing a moving truck at the restaurant on Monday and found the establishment closed. They will re-open as The Wine Press a high end wine and liquor store.

A new Aspen Dental office is opening in Enid, OK on Thursday, August 29. Located at 3521 W. Own K Garriott Rd., the practice will provide dental services that range from dentures and preventive care to general dentistry and restoration.
Dr. Benjamin Pieper, lead dentist at the Enid office, received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Pieper is a member of the Academy of LDS Dentists, through which he volunteers his services to Give Kids a Smile. Dr. Pieper resides in Enid and looks forward to meeting the community and providing access to high-quality dental care and education.

One of our readers wanted to give an Enid company a compliment. This company was very impressive! Ramco Undercar Specialists at 418 N. Washingon. This customer had the pleasure of doing business with Steve, Randy and Mark. The customer service was some of the best she had seen and experienced in many many years. It was a refreshing change to see not ONE but THREE people be kind, helpful and pleasant. She was greatly impressed with this business.

ASPEN DENTAL:
Aspen Dental is building a new structure on W. Garriott where Golden Corral and Playa Azul were located. The old building was demolished and a new building is replacing it. National dental care and services.
CVS PHARMACY:
The old Shell gas station at Gattiott and Van Buren has been demolished to make way for a new CVS Pharmacy. The store will be located on the NE corner across from Walgreens and near Bass hospital.
