WAUKOMIS, OK - Polka Dot Pig Folk Art is a little whimsy and a little weird. Each creation is handcrafted with love and soul for the young at heart. Julie Miller loves sewing and creating her whimsical and sometimes weird creatures. She loves taking a piece of fabric and some fluff and making it into something that she hopes will be treasured for a very long time. She's inspired by all things vintage and fairy tales.
Miller designs and creates everything sold in her store, online and at markets. Handmade is her passion. Most of the fabrics are new but sometimes she's lucky and finds amazing vintage fabrics and faux furs. She loves adding vintage finds also! Miller NEVER cuts up stuffed animals and ALL of her creatures are made from scratch.
Julie Miller is a self taught folk artist who works from her studio in downtown Elk City, Oklahoma. She creates whimsical art from fabric, paint and other mediums with her corgi, Otis, by her side. WORKSHOP
Two Day I Love Fall Most of All! workshop - $185 per person.
(lodging not included)
All supplies are included and you will be creating FOUR fall items - Mouse Wreath, Mouse Pumpkin Stack, Happy Fall Kitty, and a bonus project for a Secret Sister Swap! They’ll have all the projects sewn and ready for you to stuff and personalize, so there will be no machine sewing required. All projects will be beginner friendly.
There will be several fabric options and supplies for you to customize your projects plus Halloween choices! As with all classes and workshops Miller wants you to follow your creative heart!
Also included:
Brunch, dinner & drinks, and an evening at the pool on Saturday, July 30th from 11-5. Lunch with the secret sister swap on Sunday, July 31st from 10-3. She'll also have a Polka Dot Pig Pop Up Shop all weekend.
To register, email polkadotpigfolkart@gmail.com and she will send an invoice. Payment for workshop is due in advance and is required to reserve your spot in the workshop. There will be no refunds. If you can’t make it to the workshop, she will ship you the finished pieces. DEADLINE to register is July 15th.
LODGING - $225 a night per room. (not required)
Buffalo Point has generously offered a discount for their beautiful rooms and they would love for you to stay right there with them on location. The discount is good for Friday - Sunday nights if you would like to come early or stay an extra night. There are several room options.
