Funeral service for Bryan Shank, age 43, of Owasso, formerly of Pond Creek, will be 2:00 PM, Friday September 30, 2016 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bryan was born on June 20, 1973 in Kiowa, Kansas to Judy Kay Martin and Randall Joe Goodwin and later adopted by Richard Alan Shank. Bryan passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Bryan attended grade school in Cherokee and Enid and graduated high school from Pond-Creek Hunter. He attended college at NWOSU and Central State University. Bryan began his career working for Trans-Tel Communication, Inc in February 2000 as Director of Engineering and then President. Bryan worked for Techsico and Envistacom. He worked in Iraq at the Iraqi Air Force Base doing telecommunications from January 2016- July 2016.
Bryan’s first passion was his kids and family, his mom and April. He loved his music and had 5 published CD’s on Itunes. Bryan was a gardener, a chef and a computer genius. He had a candle company and loved candles. His favorite day was “OU” anything day. Bryan loved hanging out with all of his friends and will be missed by many. He was looking forward to coming home and putting his roots down in Owasso.
Bryan is survived by daughter, Madelyn Jo Shank of Oklahoma City; son, Easton David Shank of Norman; mother, Judy K. Martin of Enid; maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Martin of Cherokee; fiancé, April LaDawn Sowles of Owasso; aunts, uncles, cousins and thousands of friends.
