Brenda Kay Meister Willson was born July 8, 1952 in Odessa, Texas at Ector County Hospital to William Henry & Margarett Valentine Phelps Meister. She departed this life on August 28, 2023 at the age of 71.
At the age of 6 months she went to live with her paternal grandparents, Alexander (Dude) & Thadene Rhea Meister on a farm North West of Ringwood, Oklahoma. She attended school in Helena and Permian High in Odessa. Brenda graduated from Helena-Goltry High School in May of 1970.
She married Ferol Dean Willson on July 8, 1974 in Enid, Oklahoma. Of that union a son, James Dean Willson was born. Brenda had an older daughter, Holly Annette Meister when they married.
Brenda was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Enid and loved the praise & worship services.
She held licenses in the State of Oklahoma as a Certified Medical Aide, Notary Public & Health Insurance Agent. Brenda worked at several & also owned AAA Answering Service. Later she worked with mentally challenged clients for several years in Enid & Savannah, Georgia. Also in Savannah, Brenda was a manager at Garret Dry Cleaners, Account Receivable Clerk for EMCO, a forklift dealership & as Evening Manager at Star Castle Arcade. Upon her return from Georgia Brenda worked for United America Advertising for 10 years before her retirement.
Her hobbies were spending time with her grandchildren, reading, genealogy research and talking on the phone with friends but, most of all, adding to her huge collection of elephants, coin collecting, and acquiring all things purple.
Brenda is survived by her son, James Dean Willson, of Ada oklahoma, daughter, Holly Annette Meister, Fairview; Grand daughters, Samantha Kay Gellerman Husband Austin Lee Gellerman, Enid, Heavenly Alisa Alexa Cluen, Norman, Virginia Annette Michelle Meister, Ringwood; Paige Nicole Frizzell Husband Zak Frizzell & Kaitlyn Brooke Willson of Ada; Great grandson, Alexander Lee Meister-Smith, Enid Great granddaughter. Her sister Kitty Franck, of DeLeon TX. And several cousins.
Brenda was predeceased by her husband, Ferol Dean Willson; parents, Two brothers, Billy Wayne Meister, and Buddy Franck; sister, Lisa Marie Meister; Grand parents, Alexander (Dude) & Thadene Henwood Meister & Johnny Robert & Alice Rowena Phelps.
