Bob McCarthy, author. A native of Enid, Oklahoma. The National Bet is the title of Bob McCarty's just-released first crime-fiction novel. Released in November, it's the third book by the Enid High School Class of 1980 graduate who now lives near St. Louis. Bob McCarty is the author of two nonfiction books, Three Days In August (October 2011) and The Clapper Memo (May 2013), as well as one fiction novel, The National Bet (Nov 2014). All are available for order.


 A graduate of Oklahoma State University-Stillwater, Bob earned a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1984. During the next two decades, he served stints as an Air Force public affairs officer, a political campaign manager, a technology sales consultant and a public relations professional. In October 2006, Bob began writing full time at BobMcCarty.com, and his work has been published regularly on the Breitbart.com "BIG" sites and occasionally at other new media sites, including PajamasMedia.com. Bob's writing efforts have received mentions in several major media outlets, including Fox News Channel, Chicago Sun-Times and St. Louis Post-Dispatch. In addition, they've been cited and/or republished by several top new media outlets, including American Spectator, American Thinker, CNET News, The Drudge Report, Hot Air, Hugh Hewitt, Michelle Malkin, The Corner at National Review and World Net Daily among others.
