ENID, OK - Tonya Vargas is educating students to drive defensively by creating safe and responsible drivers. She first gained experience at a local driving school until starting Bison Driving School in 2021.

Vargas is a 2011 Enid High graduate who went on to graduate from Northern Oklahoma College in 2013. After that she enrolled at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2017. She's currently taking more classes at UCO in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.
Having your own license is essential in today’s world. Vargas is a certified driving instructor helping others in attaining their own driver’s license which opens up a world of opportunities that would not be open to them otherwise.
Bison Driving School is family and locally owned and run by Vargas and her sister Yasmin, another Enid High graduate. They offer in-class instruction as well as 6 hours of drivers training. They also recently added an examiner to their school!
Classes began in April 2021 and are held the first and third weekend of the month. Instruction takes place Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Driving tests are given every Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Students are eligible when they reach the age of 15.5 years old.
Vargas specializes in helping Spanish and Marshallese speaking students. She will also be offering two scholarships a month to students based on hardships rather than grades.
