Billy G. Hall

The Funeral for Billy G. Hall, 87 year-old Enid resident is 10:00AM Saturday, July 13, 2024 i the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Billy was born on a farm at Lugert, a small farming community south of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma on August 22, 1936 to William C. Hall and Ruby V. (Hickerson) Hall, the youngest of four Kids. The twins Lloyd E. and Lois M. and Roy L., and Mother and Father all preceded Bill in death.

Bill married Haruko Nagado at Nahu, Okinawa on August 21, 1971. They had no children.

Bill graduated from Enid High school in 1955. He was a member of K company 179 infantry 45th division Oklahoma National Guard, 1953-1955. After graduation from High School, Bill enlisted in the Navy in June 1955 serving until retiring in August 1977. Bill served in many areas in the pacific area, serving in the Viet Nam theater from 1964 until 1971 as a flight crew member aboard Navy land based patrol bombers. He was awarded the Vietnam service medal with four awards and the Air medal for 25 missions in support of combat operations in Vietnam along with other service awards.

Bill's final tour of duty was at the Naval air station Virginia Beach, Virginia and two cruses with heavy attack squadron 85 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forestall. After retiring from the Navy, Bill and Haruko moved to Montana where Bill worked for the city of Harve, Burlington Northern railroad, and the general services administration at the U.S. Boarder Patrol sector headquarters as head of maintenance. In 1995 Bill and Haruko moved to Alaska where he worked as Building System Administrator at the US border Station Tok, Alaska until retiring in 2002. They then moved back to Oklahoma and settled at Park Hill. In 2023 Bill and Haruko moved back to Enid and settled at Brookdale senior Living Facility.

He is survived by his wife Haruko of Enid and niece Debra Foster and her mother Donna Hickerson.
