A Celebration of Life for Billy (Bill) Don Vollmer, age 69, formerly of Enid, OK, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans. Visitation with the family will be Friday, February 17th from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Bill was born January 23, 1954, in Enid, OK, to William Donal (Don) Vollmer and Irene “Marie” (Coover) Vollmer, and passed away February 12, 2023, in North Miami, FL, under hospice care. Bill attended elementary school at Coolidge and North Enid Schools and graduated Carrier High School class of 1972. After a year at Oklahoma State University, Bill decided to take a year off and follow in his dad’s footsteps driving a tractor trailer. This passion grew into the beginning of a life-long career in the trucking industry. He founded several businesses including Bill Vollmer Pipe and Supply, Circle V Transportation Inc., Circle V Specialized of Enid, and B & V Specialized of Tulsa. He fully retired less than a year ago. However, “retirement” wasn’t in Bill’s dictionary. He has been in the process of building a boat and RV storage facility east of Mannford, OK, which is still under construction.

Bill loved anything with the whir of a motor: cars, trucks, boats, wave runners, 4-wheelers, motor trikes, RVs, you name it! He lived life to the fullest. He owned a “floating home” in Florida where he enjoyed time away from Oklahoma’s cold winters and had a home at Grand Lake with a beautiful lake view. He also loved sharing rides on his custom TRIKE with his loyal puppy sidekick, Abbie, and many special friends.

Bill loved his family fiercely and was a loyal friend to hundreds.
He was a giver, generously sharing time to walk beside and speak into the lives of those he knew. He was an encourager, a business mentor, and father figure to many men and children who have personally testified to his family how Bill changed their lives. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He leaves a “Bill-shaped void” in our lives and will be greatly missed! Our family has the reassurance and blessed peace we will meet him in Heaven for a glorious reunion. What a day that will be!

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Batchelor Landrith. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Vollmer Unruh and husband, Ray, of Rockwall, TX, as well as the following nieces and nephews: Jody Landrith of Denver, CO; Lane Landrith and Brian of Colorado Springs, CO; Cassidy Unruh of Rockwall, TX; Jon Clint Unruh and Shannon, and daughters, Esther and Abigail Unruh, of Rockwall, TX; Cydney Unruh Coleman and Drew of Forney, TX.

Bill also had an endearing relationship with Lily Ballard, Memphis Ballard, Maggie Ballard, and Decker Frailey.

Memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
