Bill was born on April 30, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma to the late Bill and Virginia Gibson Pritchett.  He grew up in Enid, Oklahoma and graduated from Enid High School in 1965.  He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma.  He married Bobbie (Wilson) Harris on October 29, 1996.   He resided in Enid, Oklahoma all of his life, until moving to Gatesville in 2017.  He worked at Vance Air Force Base from 1969 until his retirement in 2012 as a fuel lab technician.  He loved his job, but music was his passion.  He had the longest running “Oldies Radio Show” in northwest Oklahoma, playing 50’s and 60’s music, where people from all over called in their requests.  He dearly loved playing music for everyone and is playing music for and telling jokes to Jesus now.  Bill was a member and Past Master of  Enid Lodge #80 Grand Lodge of Oklahoma A.F. & A.M., as well as a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite, Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #39 and Akdar Shriners in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Bill was affectionately known as “PeeWee the Shriner Clown”.  He was an avid joke teller and lover of western movies and Rock and Roll music.  His wife Bobbie could be seen accompanying him to his many “D.J. side Gigs” of wedding receptions, car shows, dances, July 4th Celebrations, and anywhere else he was asked to play his music.  He didn’t much care for Country music, but many brides requested it, so he played it anyways.

Bill is survived by his wife, Bobbie Pritchett of Gatesville; one son, Walker Pritchett on campus at O.S.U. in Stillwater, OK; four daughters, Kristi Semrad and husband, Jeffrey of Enid, OK, Bobbi Williams and husband, Herb of  La Vernia, TX,  Rebecca Massey and husband, Russell of Manassas, VA, and  Francine Reaville and husband, Brad of Enid, OK;  four brothers, Bobby Pritchett and wife, Susie of Enid, Ok, Noble Pritchett and wife, Sharon of Tulsa, OK, Steven Pritchett of Enid, OK, and David Pritchett of Enid, OK; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

2548658009 Just wanted to say thank you for this. Peewee was the love of my life. He decided about a year ago that we would move to Gatesville, Texas and help take care of my mom after Harvey and that is what we did, he would tell everyone that he wasn’t born here in Texas but got here as soon as he could. Even tho he was here he was still a Sooner, he would always comment on our Texas pride he said now I know why you Texans brag so much. He loved his music and would often tell me while he was doing a gigg that he should be paying them because he enjoyed it so much. He loved being on the radio, KXLS 95.7, doing his all request oldie show. that span over 30 years. He never went to school or had any official training to do radio, it just came so natural for him. He loved talking to people on the phone that would call in and request songs usually the same songs every week but that was ok with him. I would comment on how easy it looked but when I tried it wasn’t easy at all but he had a real gift and he taught me lots, he always would say he had a face for radio. He had 3 and 4 generations of listeners that called him every Sunday afternoon. He was a great person and had a loving heart he loved being a Shrine clown, loved being a DJ, and I don’t think I ever met a person who could tell more jokes than him. I know he is in heaven playing music and telling jokes, visiting with his mom and dad and the many friends that have gone before him especially Billy Sexton and Max Humprey (the two were clowns together String Bean and Peewee) bet they are all looking down on us wanting us to know they are ok. Thank you again, by the way he loved Enid!

    Bobbie,
So sorry to hear about Bill. Worked with him many, many years. He really livened up the place, wherever he was. I know you’re gonna miss him. Just remember, he’ll always be with you, in your heart. Hope you and Walker and the rest of the family are doing OK.
