The funeral for Beuna Verlene (Bigham) Glenn, was held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Ada, OK with Bro. James Robinson officiating. Burial followed at Swan Hill Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.
Beuna was born April 24, 1927 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Charley and Lela (Suttle) Bigham and passed away January 18, 2016 in Enid. She was raised in Fittstown, Oklahoma where she attended McLish High School. Beuna married Floyd Alfred Glenn on April 2, 1944. She was an active member in First Baptist Church, Seminole, Oklahoma, First Baptist Church, Seminole, Texas and First Baptist Church, Durant, OK. Active on many church committees, she was very proud of creating Worship Banners – mostly for First Baptist Church, Durant. Beuna was an accomplished seamstress, fashioning clothing for the family and many clients. When her business changed direction to become “Beuna’s Drapery”, she decorated homes throughout Oklahoma, west Texas, New Mexico and Colorado.
Beuna is survived by her daughters, Linda Hutto; Shirley and husband Jim Suttle; granddaughters, Amber, Dalaina and husband Ross, Angie and husband Andy; four great-grandchildren, CJ, Alexis, Jack and Oliver; sister Sue Aday and numerous other family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred, and one brother, Charles.
