The funeral service for Bettie J. Pearcy, age 88, of Waukomis, will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 15, 2016, at Enid First Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Dan Barrick officiating. Burial will be in the Hawley Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Sunday 4:00 – 5:30 PM at the funeral home.
Bettie was born to John and Martha (Larkey) Tribble on July 19, 1927, in Enid, and passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016, in Enid.
Bettie grew up in Enid. On July 11, 1948, she married William S. Pearcy. Bettie was a seamstress and employed by J.C. Penney’s for many years. She was a longtime member of Enid First Assembly of God Church.
Bettie is survived by her children: Diana Burkinshaw of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joyce Mask of Midlothian, Texas, Carol Howard of Fenton, Missouri, Linda Beebe of Oklahoma City, Patricia Gallagher of Staunton, Virginia, Sidney Pearcy of Waukomis, Melody Leggett of Pell City, Alabama, and Silas Pearcy of Chandler, Arizona; 22 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren; brother Paul Tribble; and three sisters: Esther Ingels, Dorotha Tribble, and Naomi Tribble.
She was preceded in death by husband William, parents, sister Grace Tribble, and brother David Tribble.
