A Celebration of Life for Barbara Jean (Sanberry) Speight, age 66, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Barbara was born February 20, 1956 in Kiowa, Kansas to Ted and Nancy (Kelly) Sanberry, and passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 in Enid.
Barbara was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She spent most of her career working as a cosmetologist, she always enjoyed doing hair. Her last job was caring for the elderly at their homes as a PCA before she retired. She loved spending her free time with her friends, family, and her dog Sassy. She got along with everyone, and easily made new friends. Barbara had a special place in her heart for animals, specifically dogs. She loved gardening, flowers and had a green thumb.
Barbara is survived by three daughters, Tiffany Caldwell, and husband Jacob, of Florida; Apphia Mabry of Enid; Brittany Speight and husband Juan Castro, of Enid; two grandchildren, Anthony Speight and Audrielle Castro, both of Enid; and former husband, Verlin Speight, of Enid, as well as other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Nancy Sanberry, and brother, Don Sanberry.
Memorial contributions in Barbara’s name may be made to Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home to go toward funeral expenses.
