ENID, OK - Autry's Graphic Arts program was chosen as the recipient of a $6,769.84 donation from Inspire Greater Enid, a former local association for marketing and communications professionals!
-
When the organization dissolved, past members of the board agreed to donate the remaining funds to the program to purchase new equipment to benefit students who are pursuing careers in the marketing field.
-
Lisa Powell spearheaded the idea when the group discovered there was a sizable amount of money left in the non-profits bank account. Since the organization was originally about the marketing field they felt it would be appropriate to donate the funds to the Autry marketing department.
-
Cheryl Cooksey in the graphic design department had wanted to buy a new video camera this year. Since Autry was unable to afford this purchase, Mr. McCullough, Superintendent of Autry Technology Center, thought it would be a good use of the funds. Powell had contacted him about where the funds might best be used.

Members of the Inspire Greater Enid board were Lisa Powell, Curtis Tucker, Derrick Silas Sr., Nicole Winfield, Kelly Goodwin and CJ Holsten.
