Autry Business and Industry Services Team Awarded at PACE Spring Conference

ENID, OKLA. ¾ Autry Technology Center’s Business and Industry Services team was recently awarded at the 2018 Post-secondary Adult Career Education Spring Conference held on March 28-29 in Durant, Okla.

Autry Business and Industry Services Safety Trainer Jorge Guerrero received the PACE Diversity and Inclusion Award which recognizes the individual in the PACE division that promotes diversity. This member is proactive in finding ways to partner and lead by example efforts toward diversity in the PACE Division and in the Career and Technical Education system.

Autry Business and Industry Services Safety Manager Andy Beck received the PACE Award of Excellence which recognizes the outstanding individual in the PACE division with 5+ consecutive years as a PACE member. The individual is active in professional and community organizations at the local and state level. He or she also maintains a high level of professionalism in the PACE division and demonstrates good leadership skills and quality customer service.

Autry Business and Industry Services Assistant Director Tambi Brown received the PACE Ambassador of the Year Award which recognizes the outstanding individual in the PACE division with 5+ consecutive years as a PACE member.
Autry Self Employment Coordinator Brenda Sheik and Small Business Management Coordinator Meredith Westfahl received the PACE Economic Development Award for the Enid Entrepreneur Leadership Series. This award recognizes the individual or collaborative team effort who creativity provides assistance relating to business start-up/entrepreneurship, expansion/retention, recruiting/created jobs, government bid awards and economic growth/development.

Autry Technology Center has been a part of the Enid community since 1967 and is one of 29 CareerTech schools across Oklahoma. The center has more than 25 career programs and offers a wide variety of evening and weekend short-term courses and certifications for many diverse career fields. Autry serves nearly 16,000 individuals each year, including many area employees who receive training through the Business and Industry Services Department that works with over 500 local businesses each year.
