The services celebrating and honoring the life of Anthony Duane Jones, 27, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday July 18, 2021 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Olsen officiating. Family and friends with gather following the service from 3 P.M.-6 P.M. in the Gym of Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church at 5101 W. Randolph, Enid. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Anthony was born September 29, 1993 to Terry Jones and Angela (Jetton) Coursey in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life July 12, 2021 in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School. He was greatly influenced by his grandfather which began his love of being a mechanic. After high school he studied Motor Mechanic Diesel & Petrol Engines at FCA Performance Institute and worked as a mechanic’s apprentice for United Engines in Oklahoma City. After six years in Oklahoma City, he moved back to Enid and began working as a Master Automotive Technician at Jacksons of Enid. In 2019 he began working at John Deer as a Diesel Mechanic and was scheduled to fly out Friday July 16th, to begin his career at Norfolk Military Base in Norfolk, Virginia.
He was very driven and passionate, when he wanted to do something, he achieved it. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and loved tools and working on cars. When he had worked on cars all day at work, he went home to work on cars again.
He is survived by his mother Angela and husband Jeremie Coursey, of Enid, his father Terry Jones, of Oklahoma City; step-mother Charity Cooper; siblings Alex Jones, of Oklahoma City, Erik Smalling, Michael Lafargue, Jason Jones, and Lillian Gibson, all of Enid; and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Bill and Brenda Jetton, Richard and Shirley Jones.
