The graveside service for Alma Dolores Hartman, 98 year-old Enid resident will be 11:00AM Monday, March 7, 2016 in Auburn Cemetery west of Cherokee, Oklahoma. Gordon Jantz will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Alma was born January 27, 1918 in Cherokee to Luther and Cora Belle (Oringderff) Kaup and died Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. She attended Lambert and Cherokee schools graduating with the class of 1935. In that same year, she married Raymond Hartman. As Raymond was in the Army, the family moved around the country for several years before returning to Cherokee. Raymond preceded her in death in 1966.
Alma worked as a bookkeeper for various business during her career. She retired from J.C. Penny’s after 25 years of service in 1983. After living in Tulsa for 30 years she moved to Enid to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her son Dennis Hartman and wife Renny of Enid. 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, five brothers; Ed, Monte, Babe, and Athel. She was also preceded by her daughter Karen.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to the Auburn Cemetery Association.
