Alice V. (Fields) Weott was born September 3, 1922 in Sardis, KY, the seventh child born to James E. and Maggie (Linville) Fields and passed away April 1, 2018 in Ocala, FL.

In less than a year, the family moved to Ohio and lived the rest of their lives in and around the small town of Felicity, OH. Alice graduated from high school in 1941. All members of the Fields family lived around the Felicity area until their passing, except Alice. On October 1942, Alice joined the United States Navy (Waves), after spending a year in the Cincinnati Christ Hospital Nurses Training. In the U.S. Navy, she worked as an Operating Technician. She was honorably discharged in December 1945.

On July 18, 1946, she married a career U.S. Air Force member and they lived in several states and overseas until his sudden death on December 30, 1972 in Enid, OK.

On July 24, 1984 Alice married William “Frank” Weott and the couple moved to Belleview, FL. Frank passed away June 28, 1989.

Alice married a schoolmate, Byron M. Rice on December 2, 1994 and they lived in Ocala, FL area until his death on April 7, 2012, two days before his 89th birthday. Alice always said, “I will always remember him as a real sweetheart.”

A private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
