The funeral service for Alice Eileen Janzen, age 94, of Enid, will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Al McVety officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family will be Thursday evening 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Alice was born on February 23, 1922 in Hillsboro, Kansas to Daniel B. Schmidt and Anna Schmidt, and passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, in Enid.
Alice attended school in Kansas. On March 31, 1940, she married Adolf Janzen in Goessel, Kansas. They moved to Enid in 1957. She was employed at several drugstores in Enid. She loved working in her garden flowers, volunteering, and visiting shut-ins. She was a member of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Adolf in 2013; her parents, four brothers, and one sister
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Janzen of Appleton, Wisconsin; son Gary Janzen and wife Lois of Enid; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Mary June Janzen
