The Memorial Services celebrating and honoring the life of Alice Charlene Carter will be held is pending burial will follow in the Aline Star Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Alice Charlene Carter was born June 26, 1950 in Kingsport, Tennessee and passed from this life December 6, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was the youngest daughter of Donna May (Moore) Wilcox and Charles Ralf Jones.

Alice spent her younger years in Tennessee before moving with the family to Alva, Oklahoma. There she spent her teenage years and later received her beautician license. Alice had 2 boys Mike and Terry, and married Leonard Charles Shelite, a few years later they had a daughter Shannon. Alice had a love for music and even played the drums. When not helping out on the family farm or fixing hair; she enjoyed bowling or playing pool with family and friends. Alice later took up painting and gardening. She was on a Cherokee bowling league for several years and even competed in Las Vegas. Alice continued fixing hair and opened her own beauty shop in Aline, Cleo Springs, and later in Enid. Alice married Bobby Carter December 18, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They enjoyed many years together. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons Michael James Shelite, Terry Lee Shelite, and Doug Carter; two daughters, Shannon Charlene Shelite and Shelly Goodwin; grandchildren Chasta Shelite, Jayme Shelite, Thomas Knopf, Michael Austin Shelite, Bradley Rucker, Courtney Campbell, Lawson Goodwin, Nathan Goodwin; five great grandchildren; one brother James Jones and wife Teena; and one sister Velma Collings and husband Doy, niece Barbie Rich, nephew Jimmy Jones; and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Ladonna Sprnger, and one stepdaughter, Debbie Carter.
