Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes Marie Cummings, 91 year-old Enid resident, will be 10:00am Saturday, April 24, 2021 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Reverend Mark Mason will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00pm Friday, April 23, 2021, followed by visitation until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
Agnes was born September 13, 1929 in Enid, Oklahoma to Frank and Agnes (McCormick) Brady and died April 20, 2021 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She graduated from Grove High School.
On May 9, 1949, she married Millard Cummings at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Enid. Agnes was a telephone operator for a number of years. In 1991, she retired from Midwest Oil. Being a member of St. Gregory’s, she was very involved in many activities including the Altar Society. Agnes was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW. She enjoyed taking care of her family, was an excellent seamstress and a loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard; her parents; granddaughter, Angela; great-grandson, Jaxson and all of her siblings.
Agnes is survived by her children, James Cummings and wife Darlene of Houston, TX; Robert (Bob) Cummings and wife, Darlene of Nederland, CO; Richard Cummings and wife, Donna of Edmond, OK; daughter, Sheryl Severin and husband, Frank of Meno, OK; twelve grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be given through the funeral home to Good Samaritan Fund of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church or Wounded Warrior Project.
