ENID, OK - A Midsummer Faire Medieval Fair will be held in Government Springs Park Saturday, June 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 30 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The fair is in conjunction with Gaslight Theatre's annual Shakespeare in the Park with productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream each evening at 8:00 p.m. June 28-30. Both events are free to the public.

The fair will welcome food trucks, artisans, crafters, entertainers, and much more over the two day festival. Enid Event Company, coordinator of the fair, is currently accepting vendor applications.

The Society for Creative Anachronism will be on site with various activities and exhibits such as light arms, armor, demonstrations of medieval fighting, arts and sciences, and textiles.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in period costumes for the event but it is not required.

Following the Saturday night Shakespeare production there will be a Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee), a traditional Celtic celebration, for the vendors and participants in the fair and the play and the public is welcome to join and bring their own beer or wine, but no glass bottles or liquor are allowed.
