A.B.A.T.E. To Host Air Med Demonstration

Air Med Landing Zone Preparation

-
At the next Chisholm Trail 412 ABATE meeting on September 13th, Air Med will be giving a presentation on setting up a Landing Zone should a helicopter ever be needed to medi-flight someone after an accident or illness.  This is not just for motorcyclists but for anyone that might be involved in an accident or fall ill while being far away from a hospital.
-
The chopper will be landing on the west side of the Enid Moose Lodge, 302 E. Purdue at 2 p.m. and the presentation will be approximately 30 minutes to an hour.  Although A.B.A.T.E. of Oklahoma is about the safety of motorcyclists through education and legislation accidents can and will happen.  Whether an accident on a motorcycle, in a car, hunting or camping, a chopper may be dispatched to get victims to a hospital in the shortest amount of time.
-
Time is critical, so learning to make the response time faster may be the difference between life and death. This presentation will be open to any individual or group that would like to attend.

imageThere are 9 Chapters of ABATE of Oklahoma throughout Oklahoma and they all have the same goal—keeping motorcyclist safe.  Our t shirts have the logo “Look Twice for Bikes”.  We would love for every driver to look to the left, look to the right and look again.  As the motorcycle riding population is increasing in great numbers and it includes riders that have 50+ years of riding experience to the first time rider.  A motorcycle does not have a chance against any vehicle, so our focus is to educate the rider of the motorcycle and the driver of the vehicle to Share the Road.
