PARKING FOR HISTORIC CONVENTION HALL GRAND REOPENING EVENTS
Excitement is building for the activities surrounding the grand reopening of Historic Convention Hall this week. With construction still ongoing for neighboring Enid Event Center, questions have been raised about parking for the Thursday ribbon-cutting luncheon, the Friday night Beatles tribute band fundraiser for the Enid Arts Council and Sunday’s Community Open House.
Access to Convention Hall will be through the West and North doors for each event, and the public is encouraged to park in the following areas:
- Parking lot at the corner of Independence and Cherokee immediately west of Convention Hall
- Street parking along the following downtown streets: West Cherokee between Adams and Independence, West Maine between Washington and Grand, South Independence between Maine and Broadway, and South Washington between Cherokee and Maine.
In addition, the private Security National Bank parking lot at Maine and Independence will be available for parking for the Friday night and Sunday afternoon events. A portion of this lot (located between the drive through and ATMs) is available for Thursday’s luncheon, but not the majority of the lot.
