Shawn Reeves

December 27, 1961 - September 29, 2022

The Memorial Services celebrating and honoring the life of Shawn Reeves, 60, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday October 6, 2022, in the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Devon Krause officiating. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Shawn was born December 27, 1961, to Joseph and Lola Bogner Reeves on Vandenburg Air Force Base, California and passed from this life September 29, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Tulsa graduating from Will Rogers High School with the class of 1980, where he excelled in baseball being on 2 state championship teams in 1978 & 1979. He then attended Phillips University on a baseball scholarship and was a 4 year starting pitcher, then graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Geology in 1984. He married Deborah Rouse January 5, 1985, in the First United Methodist Church. He began working as a driver for UPS and soon was promoted to supervisor and then center manager; he worked for UPS for twenty-two years. He then began working at Advance Foods as the Transportation department Manager until his retirement. In his retirement he decided to be a school bus driver beginning at Chisolm and later for Enid High School for the past five years. He loved all of the kids and those kids renewed his calling. He had a true passion for baseball and golf, he was a die-hard fan.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah Reeves; one son Conor Reeves of Fort Worth and his partner Elizabeth Caldera and daughter Arianna; daughter Jamie Reeves of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and daugher Jessica Reeves of Dallas, Texas; his father Joseph Reeves and wife Loretta of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother Roger Reeves and wife Dala of Owasso, Oklahoma and brother Todd Reeves of Owasso.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lola Reeves, his grandmother June Reeves and Uncle Danny Reeves.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the United Way of Enid with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
