The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of David Fugazzi Sr., 79, of Enid will be held at a later date in Northern Kentucky. Complete cremation care is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
David was born September 13, 1942, to Leslie John and Evelyn (Sims) Fugazzi in Covington, Kentucky and peacefully passed from this life surrounded by family on March 1, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.
David was raised in Northern Kentucky graduating from St. Henry High School with the class of 1960. He then joined the United States Air Force and served as a Communication Technician in Morocco and India. He was honorably discharged in 1964. He returned to the Northern Kentucky area where he married DorothyMae Kiser in 1964. From this union came 4 sons, David Jr, Daniel, Dale, and Darrin Fugazzi until 1978 came 5th Son Steven Laird. The family made their home in Erlanger Kentucky. He worked as a Project Manager for an Electrical Engineering firm until his retirement in 2000.
He was an avid golfer and was never afraid to see if his clubs could swim. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was always into teaching others the games of soccer and started the first Northern Kentucky competitive soccer team. He went on to help a lot of children develop great success in sports. His door was always open to anyone in need. He was quick to offer advice and never ran out of words about the importance of family.
He is survived by his sons David Fugazzi Jr. of Enid, Daniel and Jennifer Fugazzi, of Enid, Dale Fugazzi, of Cincinnati, Ohio. 4 grandchildren, Timothy, Erica, Amber, and Aiden, great grandchildren, Cory, Logan and Wesley, sister Shirley Ross, of Kentucky, and several Nieces and Nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister Jo Ann, brother Bob, and son Darrin.
