ENID, OK - Three individuals were arrested on complaints of first-degree murder in connection to a fatal robbery early Friday morning.
Jose Zamarron, 18; James Parker, 21; and Alejandro Ahumada, 17, were each arrested Friday on the felony complaint. All three were also booked on complaints of conjoint robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Zamarron and Ahumada were also booked on complaints of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
At 2:24 a.m., Feb. 18, a 911 call was received reporting a shooting at Maine Street Mini Mart, 1602 E. Maine.
The caller reported they were getting gasoline when they saw three men enter the store. While fueling their vehicle, the caller said they heard gunshots and fled from the store upon hearing the gunshots.
Officers arrived at the store and found the clerk had been shot. The store also appeared to have been robbed. Life saving efforts were made by arriving officers but medical personnel who arrived on scene pronounced 34-year-old Kristopher Osburn dead.
Detectives were called out to the scene and began their investigation.
Later Friday morning, a woman contacted an Enid Police Department reporting she’d been told by Parker that he’d done something bad and would likely be going away.
Detectives went to an apartment on East Randolph and found Parker asleep on the floor. He was taken into custody and brought to the police station for questioning.
During his interview, Parker admitted to Detectives John Cunningham and Robin Bench to taking part in the robbery with Zamarron and Ahumada.
Zamarron was located and questioned about his involvement in the murder and robbery.
During his interview, Zamarron admitted to intentionally shooting Osburn during the robbery being committed with Parker and Ahumada.
Zamarron also admitted to committing a drive-by shooting that occurred the night of Feb. 12, 2022. No one was injured in that shooting but there was damage to a residence in the 300 block of East Illinois.
Ahumada admitted to his involvement in the robbery with Parker and Zamarron during his interview.
Because Osburn died during the commission of the felony armed robbery, Parker and Ahumada are being charged with first-degree murder.
Parker and Zamarron were both booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility. Ahumada, who turns 18 in seven days, is in custody outside of Garfield County and will have a mug shot available upon his birthday.
Within 19 hours of receiving the call reporting the incident, all three suspects were in custody along with concrete evidence of their crimes.
“This was a group effort by our Patrol Division, administration, civilian staff, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office investigators and our Detective Division,” Lt. Bryan Hart said.
The investigation is still active and ongoing. No further information is being release at this time.
