Wanda Koehn, 98 year-old Enid resident, was born October 25, 1922 in Waukomis, OK to Harmon and Dora (Henneke) King. She went to see God on September 24, 2021 at The Commons in Enid, surrounded by her loving family.
After graduating from Waukomis High School, Wanda married Marvin Koehn on June 7, 1942 in Enid. They moved to Oklahoma City while Marvin was serving in the US Army. After his discharge, they moved back to Enid.
Wanda enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to her three daughters. Church was very important to her. She served the Lord in many different areas of the church, including being a children’s Sunday school teacher for sixty years as well as church pianist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; infant son, Richard; one sister and two brothers.
Wanda is survived by daughters, Barbara Koehn; Judy (Mark) McGilvray; Shirley (JR) Guthrie; granddaughter, Robin Guthrie; grandson, Trey Guthrie and great-grandson, Garrett Jones.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Gary Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery. Viewing is available 2:00pm-8:00pm Monday, September 27, 2021 and 8:00am-8:00pm Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in Wanda’s name to OMRF – Alzheimer’s Division with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
