Funeral services for Beth Sumner, 52, will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Walt Sumner officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. A Celebration of Beth’s Life will follow the service at Breckinridge Community Center.
Beth came into this world on November 2, 1968 at OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City to Daniel and Karen Bell Duffy and passed away on August 29, 2021 at her home.
Beth graduated from Moore High School. On December 2, 1989, she married Rodney Sumner in Enid, where they made their home. Beth was employed at NOC-Enid, working at the Hub Café. She enjoyed crafting, going to rodeos, spending time with her grandchildren, Remi, Barrett, and Colt. Beth loved being around the kids at NOC. She loved to skate in her younger years and enjoyed watching softball. Beth never met a stranger and enjoyed going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Duffy; grandparents, Albert Jewell, Albert Bell, Betty Bell; uncle, Rodney Bell.
Beth is survived by her husband, Rod; daughters, Cheyenne and husband, Zach Patton, and Sierra Sumner and longtime boyfriend, Mason Myers; mother, Karen Duffy; sisters, Dawn McAlister and Kimberly and husband, Doug Grisham; grandchildren, Barrett, Colt and Remi; nephews and nieces, Carlie Duffy, Jaiden McAlister, Denton McAlister, Zach Grisham, Sydney Harmon, Shaylee, Sheridan and Westin Sumner, Thatcher Aduddell; in-laws, Marilyn Vowell, Phil and Jennifer Sumner, Sherry Sumner; Misty and Brad Harmon, Walt and Shauna Sumner, Jason Aduddell; other relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Hospice Circle of Love or OMRF-Breast Cancer Division.
